There are so many options and ways to attend music festivals in Colorado. Here’s a list of our ten favorite summer music festivals right here in Colorado. Check them out: 

1 Telluride Bluegrass Festival

The 47th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival is first on our list because it is legendary! Telluride Bluegrass is infamous for throwing a fantastic festival with the biggest names in Bluegrass right in the town of Telluride. 

The 2020 Telluride Bluegrass lineup features headliners Alison Krauss, Sam Bush Band, and Greensky Bluegrass as well as Del McCoury Band, Doyle Lawson And Quicksilver, Mandolin Orange, Billy Strings, Punch Brothers, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Infamous Stringdusters, Leftover Salmon, The Tim O’Brien Band, Peter Rowan, Béla Fleck + Edmar Castaneda, and The Jerry Douglas Band.

2 Seven Peaks Festival 

A newer Colorado festival, Seven Peaks Festival in Buena Vista, is making waves in that part of the state. It is a three-day camping and music festival. The first-year of the festival hit it out of the park with Dierks Bently and Luke Bryan.

The 2020 Seven Peaks line up has yet to be announced.

3 Global Dance Festival

Global Dance Festival is a five-stage electronic music festival featuring carnival rides, a Silent Disco, art installations, and much more! This event is at Broncos Stadium and offers an amazing experience right in downtown Denver. 

The 2020 Global Dance lineup has yet to be announced.

4 Sonic Bloom 

For a four day festival with camping options, Sonic Bloom Festival is an electronic music lover must! This festival brings together electronic music, art, camping, and human performance to create an epic experience. There is free Walk-In Tent Camping included with any Festival Pass, and the event is open to all ages. 

2020 artists performing at Sonic Bloom include Charlesthefirst, Desert Dwellers, Ghost-Note, Ott., two sets of Tipper, Lettuce, Sunsquabi, EOTO, and more.

5 Country Jam Colorado

Country Jam in Grand Junction is “Colorado’s Biggest Country Music Party.” With big names, lots to celebrate, beautiful surroundings, and camping options, this is a big festival just a few hours away from Denver.

The 2020 Country Jam Lineup includes big names like Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Dan and Shay, Ashley McBryde, Kane Brown, and Clay Walker.

6 Arise Festival 

The Arise Festival in Loveland is a unique compilation of camping, music, art, workshops, films, and yoga over three days in August. The event is independent and family-run, plus the organizers plant one tree for every ticket sold.

The 2020 Arise line up has yet to be announced. Last year Tipper, Beats Antique, Railroad Earth, and Leftover Salmon graced the stage.

7 Apogaea

Apogaea is the official Colorado Regional Burning Man Event located in Valdez, Colorado, in June. A cool thing about this festival is it is run by Apogaea Inc., a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to the advancement of the arts. So art is a huge focus of this event! 

The 2020 Apogaea line up has yet to be announced.

8 Rockygrass

Rockygrass is another annual Colorado music festival not to miss. Celebrating 48 years in Lyons, Colorado, this bluegrass festival is fun no matter the weather! 

The 2020 Rockygrass lineup features Béla Fleck & Friends, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Sam Bush Bluegrass Band, Uncle Earl, Béla Fleck & Abigail Washburn, The Lil Smokies, Della Mae, and many more amazing artists!

9 Polo Fest

New in 2019, Polo Fest is a one-day festival that supports and raises money for the Equine Partnership Program (EPP). EPP assists children with hands-on equine-assisted therapy. This festival brings together big names in pop music in Denver to celebrate with polo and music. 

Last year’s lineup included Kygo, Sofi Tukker, Chelsea Cutler, and Zach Heckendorf. The 2020 Polo Fest line up is coming soon!

10 Mountain Town Music Festival

Mountain Town Music Festival in Keystone is a FREE music festival held in Keystone each August. That’s right, free! This festival is the ultimate Colorado celebration featuring locally sourced food and beer, and of course, fantastic music. 

The 2020 lineup will feature The Strumbellas and a few bands that will be announced as the date gets closer.

BONUS Winter Festival: Winter Wondergrass

Just for a bonus, here’s one of our favorite winter festivals, Winter Wondergrass Festival. This event happens every year during the winter in Colorado, California, and Vermont. Almost ten years in the making, the Colorado version of the festival, is a three-day outdoor festival in Steamboat to add to your winter activities list.

The 2020 lineup included Greensky Bluegrass, Billy Strings, Margo Price, Keller and the Keels, The Travelin McCourys, and many more. We can’t wait to see who is playing next year!
